Geschichte der Orgel: Die Orgel wurde 1910 von den Gebr. Link als dreimanualiges Instrument im deutsch-romantischen Stil mit bewusster Standortwahl auf der zweiten Empore mit Kuppeldach errichtet. Karl Beringer, erster Organist der Pauluskirche, war der Erste, der die Orgelwerke Max Regers im süddeutschen Raum spielte.

1970 wurde ein Abbau der Orgel verhindert, stattdessen wurde sie von der Erbauerfirma dem Zeitgeist entsprechend "aufgehellt" und "aufgenordet"

1996 wurden diese Änderungen durch die Firma Mühleisen weitesgehend rückgängig gemacht und einige Register nach Vorbildern aus der Entstehungszeit der Orgel rekonstruiert. Die Orgel hatte nun 58 Register mit 3 Transmissionen.

2013/14 erfolgte schließlich eine Generalsanierung durch den Orgelbauer Thomas R. Gaida (Wemmetsweiler). Es wurden neue Register aus einer alten, englischen Orgel hinzugefügt, sowie ein neuer Spieltisch errichtet. Durch seine vielen Spielhilfen und Auxiliarregister (Transmissionen) hat der heutige Spieltisch über 320 Registerknöpfe. Insgesamt besitzt das Instrument heute 86 Register, verteilt auf 4 Manualen und Pedal und ist somit das größte Instrument seiner Bau- und Klangart im süddeutschen Raum.
