Geschichte der Orgel: Für die (ursprüngliche) Disposition dieser Orgel zeichnete KMD Helmut Bornefeld, Heidenheim/Brenz, verantwortlich.
Umbauten: 1974 – Erweiterung auf 35 Register

1984 – Beginn der in fünf Stufen vorgesehenen Orgelrenovierung (Orgelbau Mühleisen)

1987 – Erweiterung auf 37 Register (Orgelbau Mühleisen)

2005 – Erweiterung auf 40 Register im Rahmen der im November 2004 begonnenen 5. Stufe der seit 1984 andauernden Orgelrenovierung, Neubau HW-Windlade (Orgelbau Mühleisen); Intonation: Reinhard Metzger

2016/2017 – Ausbau/Generalreinigung anlässlich der Innenrenovierung der Kirche, Austausch der Registerzugmotoren in -magnete; Nachintonation aufgrund veränderter Akustik: Friedemann Güldner

Gehäuse: Das Gehäuse dieser Orgel entwarf Architekt Prof. R. Lempp, wobei KMD Helmut Bornefeld, Heidenheim/Brenz, den Werkaufbau plante.
