Geschichte der Orgel: Die Orgel geht zurück auf ein Instrument, welches 1910 als Opus 535 von den Gebr. Link aus Giengen an der Brenz mit 55 Registern als dreimanualiges Instrument mit im deutsch-romantischen Stil mit bewusster Standortwahl auf der zweiten Empore mit Kuppeldach errichtet wurde. Karl Beringer, erster Organist der Pauluskirche, war der Erste, der die Orgelwerke Max Regers im süddeutschen Raum spielte.

1970 wurde ein Abbau der Link-Orgel verhindert, stattdessen wurde sie von der Erbauerfirma dem Zeitgeist entsprechend "aufgehellt" und "aufgenordet", dabei wurde das ursprüngliche Gehäuse entfernt und durch einen Freipfeifenprospekt ersetzt.

1996 wurden diese Änderungen durch die Firma Mühleisen weitesgehend rückgängig gemacht und einige Register nach Vorbildern aus der Entstehungszeit der Orgel rekonstruiert. Die Orgel hatte nun 58 Register mit 3 Transmissionen.

2013/14 erfolgte schließlich ein tiefgreifender Eingriff, welcher einer Neukonzeption gleich kommt, durch Thomas Gaida (Wemmetsweiler). Es wurden neue Register aus alten, englischen Orgeln hinzugefügt, sowie ein neuer Spieltisch errichtet. Durch seine vielen Spielhilfen und Auxiliarregister (Transmissionen) hat der heutige Spieltisch über 320 Registerknöpfe.
