Kreuz der Ebene?
It sounds a bit weird in german language. Can you explain/elaborate on this? --MartinH (Diskussion) 05:42, 11. Apr. 2023 (UTC)
- In Finnish language we have a word to area where elevation is between five and ten meters: that word is lakeus. This word has not been translated into other languages. The closest equivalent word in English is plain (tasanko in Finnish), but the purpose is slightly different. In Finland, the largest plains are in Ostrobothnia region and usually plains refer in Finnish specifically to Ostrobothnia's flat field landscapes.
- The name of this church in Finnish is Lakeuden Risti, and in the Church website the English name is Cross of the Plains. In some advertisements the name of the Church it's translated to German Kreuz der Ebene. Orgelgjuteri (Diskussion) 11:16, 11. Apr. 2023 (UTC)
- Interesting, Kiitos! The irritation perhaps is, that a Kreuz (cross) really only is the thingy itself, churches are named "Kreuzkirche" or "Hl. (Heilig) Kreuz". But of course we can leave it as it is, it was just for interest. --MartinH (Diskussion) 17:19, 11. Apr. 2023 (UTC) PS How many organs in total exist in Finnland? I think we'll soon have them all listed here :)
