Geschichte der Orgel: Die Orgel auf dem Nordchor, ehemalige Hauptorgel, war für den Dom trotz 57 Register einfach zu klein. Deswegen entschloss man sich, eine neue große Orgel zu bauen. Aus 14 Orgelbaufirmen hat sich der Orgelbauer Gerhard Grenzing aus El Papiol, Spanien, durchgesetzt. Die Orgel soll bis Ende 2019 fertiggestellt werden. Sie ist, zusammen mit der neuen Orgelanlage im Wiener Stephansdom, eine der größten Orgelneubauten in Europa mit Beginn der 20er Jahre des 21. Jhdts. Die Einweihung sollte am 15. Juni 2020 erfolgen, jedoch machte auch dort die COVID-19 Pandemie eine Orgelweihe unmöglich. 2025 schließlich begann der Aufbau in der Kirche, die Einweihung ist derzeit im Juni 2026 geplant (vgl. Meldung auf Radio CZ). Die Kosten betragen 4,36 Mio.€; der Spendenstand durch Pfeifenpatenschaften beträgt derzeit ca. 78,8 Mio. CZK (ca. 3,3 Mio. €, Stand: Januar 2026).
